About the event
The Great Northern Railway Historical Society (GNRHS) is dedicated to the preservation, study, and history of one of America's greatest railroads, the Great Northern Railway (including our Depot)! Chas Bettendorf, the editor of the GNRHS quarterly magazine, the Goat, joins us as May's Brown Bag History presenter to share information about the GNRHS and the bond of Great Northern Railway fans across the world! Originally from Foley, MN, Mr. Bettendorf has served as a history and economics instructor and is a lifelong rail fan.
Participants are invited to the Beltrami County History Center (130 Minnesota Ave. SW, Bemidji) to attend this program FREE. Seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Participants are welcome to bring lunch to enjoy during the program.
