About the Workshop: Young Artists' Stencil Studio

The Beltrami County Historical Society invites young artists to explore the art of stenciling in a hands-on workshop, Young Artists’ Stencil Studio, led by artist Ms. Lily. The class, part of the Art is HERStory series, will take place Saturday, May 17, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Beltrami County History Center, 130 Minnesota Ave. SW, Bemidji.

Stenciling is a decorative painting technique that allows artists to create crisp, detailed designs using pre-cut templates. Used for centuries in folk art, home décor, and crafts, stenciling makes it easy for beginners to create beautiful, professional-looking artwork. In this workshop, children will learn how to position and apply stencils with acrylic paints, exploring color blending and brush techniques to bring their designs to life.
