About the Workshop: Needle Felting a Froggie

The Beltrami County Historical Society invites the community to a hands-on workshop led by artist Lanee Paulson, where they can explore the art of needle felting.

The class, part of the Art is HERStory series, will be held on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Blackduck Area History & Art Center.

Paulson will guide participants through needle felting, which uses barbed needles to mat fibers together on a padded surface. In this class, attendees will use various felting techniques to sculpt a smiling frog sitting on a lily pad. The workshop is designed for both beginners and experienced artists.

Because the class involves sharp felting needles, children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
